Possible changes to the itinerary
The programme outlined above will be followed whenever possible. However, it may be necessary to modify this programme before departure or during your holiday for reasons beyond our control, such as poor weather, dangerous snow conditions, the political situation, flying conditions, flight delays, etc.
A heli-skiing trip is an adventure in which not everything can be foreseen. Despite the care we take in preparing your trip and our extensive knowledge of the country and terrain, we can encounter difficulties. Heliski Russia will always do its best to make your trip unforgettable, but we must also ensure your safety. We will do everything we can to make sure you have a successful holiday and that you go home full of fantastic memories and the desire to ski with us again.
Unlike classic heli-ski companies, who bill flying time based on the vertical descent skied, we base our calculations on the actual amount of flying time. This method is not only more transparent and more in line with the true cost, it gives us the opportunity to adapt our programme to conditions and therefore explore the best areas in which to ski.
Hence, a good day will give us 7000 to 10,000 metres of vertical drop for around 2½ hours of flying time. The flying time indicated for each package is the average achieved on each trip. When the weather prevents us from flying all these hours, we will reimburse you the hours we do not fly.
You will be one of just a few fortunate guests enjoying the 5-star facilities at the Russo-Balt North Adventure complex, a luxurious, comfortable and cosy hotel in the midst of a breathaking landscape.
The sumptuous hotel complex is 25 km from Elizovo, 30 minutes from the airport and 45 minutes from Petropavlovsk. Its ideal location feels like the end of the world, but with all of life’s little luxuries.
With their wood and stone décor, the spacious apartments are in perfect harmony with the surrounding countryside. Whatever the weather, you can luxuriate in the outdoor swimming pool, whose naturally warm waters are provided by a local hot spring that is renowned for its curative properties.
The Russo-Balt North Adventure was designed to pamper its guests, so it provides both a sauna and a relaxation area.
And, after a hard day’s skiing, don’t forget to try some of the treatments on offer in the spa, all based on the local thermal waters.
Your taste buds will delight in the delicious, healthy dishes served in the restaurant, prepared from local ingredients by the hotel’s chefs. Connoisseurs will enjoy the fine selection of wines from around the world.
Breakfasts are taken in the hotel.
Picnic lunches based on Kamchatka specialties will be provided on heli-ski days. If the weather is too bad to fly, lunches will be taken in the hotel.
